This mainly speaks for itself. some of my very recent work might not be in here but it still paints a good picture of my style and abilities.
Graduation Project
The next video is my graduation project. Due to late confirmation from my school, the entire project was created and finalized in just two weeks. I believe many aspects could have been improved, but I am very proud of how it turned out visually.
Sounds of Berlin
A while ago, I visited Berlin for the first time with some friends and was amazed by the city—the gorgeous views and vibrant atmosphere. I decided to capture it, with no music, just beautiful frames and the actual sounds recorded in those locations. That’s why I called it Sounds of Berlin.
Hobby Projects
The next pieces are actually two separate videos I made for an assignment. The task was to create an exposition that represents a short film or story without actually telling the story. While working on this, I decided to also make a small sketch inspired by it. The first video is the sketch, and the second one is the exposition.
Commercial Work
This video is a good example of some of my commercial work. Specifically, it shows how I continue to challenge myself. I aimed to give it more of a documentary look (as much as the client allowed) rather than just creating another standard aftermovie. It is quite long, as that was what the client wanted.
For context, this video is about a large project in the north where schools collaborate to solve problems in a sustainable way.
Concert Registration
This video is a good example of a concert registration I filmed. I sometimes enjoy filming concerts, and when I’m lucky, I get to collaborate with artists. This video is one I am particularly proud of.
An important note: the shots that are synchronized to the music are the ones I am most proud of. The other shots were filmed by a different videographer, and the client wanted me to include them, so I did.
Stills
Now, some of my work I was unfortunately not able to show here—mostly projects where I worked as DOP and on color grading (often both) but the project owner didn’t send me the final product. However, I often keep stills, so here are some of them. Many of these stills are also included in my showreel.
Animation
Even though animation is not something I plan on turning into a career (who knows), it’s still something I enjoy doing. I even had the chance to do it commercially once. Mostly, I animate and composite for fun.
Photography
For me, it all began here more than 10 years ago, when I first picked up a camera. Photography has been my first love ever since. But your first love is often not your last. I moved on to bigger things and now pursue filmmaking, yet I still return to photography from time to time.
Most of the time, I do it as a hobby to unwind and relax, and to challenge myself to tell a story with just one frame instead of 25 per second.
